The Research Department examines every aspect of the economy: regional, national, and international. The primary mission of the Research Department is to support the monetary policy-making process conducted by the FOMC. The department provides the Bank's president and other officers with analysis of current economic events in the Southeast, the nation, financial markets, and overseas. The department also engages in economic research aimed at both internal and external audiences via its working paper series, the Economic Review, outside journals, and conferences.
The Research Department is divided into four groups: Macropolicy, Regional, Financial, and ISOS.
